"I believe that in order to paint well, you
must learn to draw well. Once you can do this, painting in any media
becomes a joy. Too often at art schools in New Zealand, students are
not taught the technique of drawing, they are thrown into a painting
class and told to produce something. This is akin to trying to make
a beginner pianist play a Grade 7 Sonata. This workshop will give
you the skills to render from life accurately and easily. Anyone can
learn to draw well."
