The Puppy Files
7 puppies tumbled into this world on the
7th December 2004.

These dear little animals have
been a total joy to watch grow and develop physically and
mentally.
When they were born they resembled
guinea pigs - tiny little paddles for legs and big head.
They were blind and deaf but they sure could find their way
to food.
As I write this they are 5 weeks
old and bundles of trouble. Into everything, they gallop
along, tripping over their noses and colliding into each
other in their haste to explore.
The pups are now 12 weeks old,
we have two left waiting for good homes only. As they are
fully vaccinated and wormed they are now $200.
Introducing...
Herschel.
Herschel is tiny but totally full of it. As a toddler she
bossed the other pups and galloped around like a lunatic.
Herschel is smaller than the other pups, and as she has pink
pads she would be better suited to life on a small farm rather
than big country.
She has become quite an independent
soul, where the other pups race around playing and fighting
and biting, she will be found curled up quietly in bed.
On
the right is Madame Butterfly otherwise known as
Opera Gloves - or Oppie so named because of her
beautiful opera gloves.
Oppie has become full of beans.
She is usually the instigator of any puppy crime and always
the first on the scene of anything interesting.
With her comical eyebrows moving
up and down as she looks at you, she really does make me
laugh.
The pups pictured here are 5
weeks old with the exception of Fatboy at the top - he is
pictured at a week old.
All the pups have been wormed
regularly since birth and have had all their vaccinations.
They have also been handled every day. They will not be sold
before they are 8 weeks of age and they will only be sold
to loving homes. Ideally these dogs would be great in Farming
homes - but only to farmers who do look after , repect
and love their dogs. They are very well bred handy
pups. The other type of home would be someone who is into
agility. These pooches would make brilliant agility dogs.
Above all they will be terrific companions, who need plenty
of exercise and love. email
me for more details.
UPDATE
The pups are now 7 weeks old.
And what a gorgeous gaggle of
puppies they are. Into everything they love to pull the tails
of our working dogs and bounce around chasing everything
from butterflies to my feet.

The other day I came home to
find 6 of the pups way down by the wool shed off on an adventure.
I raced down with Partly to pick them up and they followed
Partly home. It was very cute.
Once home they all slept except
the smart little chap who had stayed behind. He now wanted
to play.

This is Badger sleeping. I am
thinking of keeping her however if a really good home turns
up I may let her go. She is just so sweet.
Here is a pic of the pups feeding
- I call them the Milk Harvesters. This is their Mum, but
then I guess that's obvious.

Here is a picture of one of
the pups (Opera Gloves) with her Dad. Chuck isn't too impressed
with the idea of being a dad, but then he is only young.
Partly has been more of a dad to them than Chuck has which
is a bit of a worry...

See what I mean...

Even Zuess the cat spends more
time playing with the pups than their Dad. They may need
counselling about this when they are older.

UPDATE
Feb 25th 2005

to go- Opera Gloves and Herschel.
